Katerina Diachenko was born in Kramatorsk, Ukraine and with her mother, moved to a small town in Michigan when she was 11 years old. Upon graduating from Western Michigan University with a Bachelors of Accountancy, she moved around the US for work and eventually settled in Dallas, TX. Katerina served 8 years in progressive accounting roles in industrial and aerospace manufacturing with Parker Hannifin. Currently she is a Financial Controller for Smurfit Westrock, where she has been for 6 years. She has a big passion for her company as they are involved in recycling and creating better packaging solutions that are sustainable for the planet. Katerina has family in Ukraine and has visited them since the war started, deeply reigniting her connection to her heritage and wanting to do something to help those affected by the war.
