In order to do our work in Ukraine, we have to raise funds here in the United States. We have tried many methods of doing so: auctions, golf outings, garage sales (never again!), art exhibits, walk-a-thons, "sponsor-an-orphan," caroling, bake sales, and simply passing the hat around after inspirational talks and powerpoint presentations. We've mailed out many a brochure, and sweet-talked many a prospect. My niece even sold lemonade from a stand in her neighborhood. It's hard work.
