UCARE has been participating in summer camps for orphans in Ukraine since 1995. Many of our members have forgone their summer vacations to work as counselors, teachers, doctors and nurses at camps throughout Ukraine. These summer camps provide the children a respite from their every day life. The camps have a full program – teaching life skills, building self-esteem and exploring opportunities for life after the orphanage. There is much laughter and joy, and on the last day, many tears.
By donating $100.00 will provide a child the opportuity to spend two weeks with their own peers in an outdoor setting.
